Sharegrid Insurance
Sharegrid is excited to announce a new insurance policy to protect your gear while it’s rented out on our platform. With Sharegrid Insurance, you can rest assured that your gear is covered in the event of damage or theft while it’s being rented.
This insurance policy is available to all Sharegrid members in the US, and we’re working on expanding it to other countries in the near future.
What does Sharegrid Insurance cover?
Sharegrid Insurance covers gear for up to $50,000 in value for damage or theft while it’s being rented out on our platform. This includes cameras, lenses, drones, and other types of gear.
How much does Sharegrid Insurance cost?
Sharegrid Insurance is available for a monthly fee of $5 per $1,000 of gear value, with a minimum of $10 per month. So, if you have $10,000 worth of gear listed on Sharegrid, your insurance policy will cost $50 per month.
What is the process for making a claim?
If you need to make a claim, you can do so through the Sharegrid website. We will then review the claim and, if it’s approved, issue a payment to you within 14 days.
How do I sign up for Sharegrid Insurance?
If you’re a Sharegrid member in the US, you can sign up for Sharegrid Insurance by going to your account settings and selecting the “Insurance” tab.
We’re excited to offer this new insurance policy to our members and we hope it gives you peace of mind when renting out your gear on Sharegrid.
