As a Wayfair customer, you’re entitled to a certificate of insurance (COI) at no additional charge. This document provides evidence of insurance coverage for your purchase in the event that your product is damaged or lost in transit. To request a COI, please contact our Customer Service team.
What is a certificate of insurance?
A certificate of insurance (COI) is a document that provides evidence of insurance coverage. It is typically used to provide proof of insurance to a third party, such as a landlord or employer. A COI typically includes the name of the insurance company, the policy number, the policy effective dates, the insured’s name and contact information, and the insurance agent or broker’s name and contact information.
Why do I need a certificate of insurance?
If your product is damaged or lost in transit, your COI can be used to file a claim with the shipping company. In most cases, the shipping company will require a COI in order to process your claim. Without a COI, you may have to pay for the repairs or replacement out of your own pocket.
How do I request a certificate of insurance?
To request a COI, please contact our Customer Service team. We will need the following information in order to process your request:
- Your full name
- Your email address
- Your phone number
- Your order number
Once we have this information, we will be able to generate a COI and email it to you. Please note that it may take up to 3 business days for us to process your request.
